ritish Columbia is only 3 hours north of Seattle. Three particularly captivating cities are within 2 hours of the border: Victoria, Vancouver and the best ski resort in North America, Whistler/Blackcomb. The pictures above were taken on our trip to Victoria. We packed our backpacks, parked our car in Port Angeles, Washington and took the ferry across.
Victoria is heavily influenced by its British ancestory. Julie enjoyed the chance to pariticipate in High Tea (I enjoyed it too, but it had never been on my list of things to do). We went to the Canadian history museum and learned many things about Canada that we didn't know and saw Buchardt Gardens. The picture above just doesn't do it justice. There were many acres of the most beautiful flowering plants.
